FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – San Antonio, Texas, July 30, 2021 – Knight Aerospace has successfully delivered a passenger palletized system to the Brazilian Air Force/Força Aérea Brasileira (FAB) for operational use in their KC-390 Millennium. The quick-change roll-on/roll-off system is the first system of its kind to be operated in the KC-390 cargo plane and will also be used in FAB’s C-130 aircraft.

The Knight passenger palletized system supports various missions using executive or economy class seating, lavatories, and a galley. Airworthiness approval will be issued by FAB.

The Knight palletized passenger system loads quickly and easily on cargo planes using a roll-on/roll-off system.

“This KC-390 Palletized System provided us the ability to introduce a new capability not only to the Brazilian Air Force but the KC-390 community. We’re proud to design and manufacture a customized passenger palletized seating system, enhancing the transport abilities of the Brazilian Air Force,” said Bianca Rhodes, President and CEO of Knight Aerospace. “Our system offers huge improvements in comfort, safety, and installation over existing transport options, like basic canvas troop seats.”

The Brazilian Air Force first used Knight’s system in June, transporting multiple political leaders, military authorities, and VIPs. Passengers included the President of the Republic, Jair Messias Bolsonaro, Air Force Commander Lt. Brigadier Carlos de Almeida Baptista Jr., and three-time Formula 1 champion Nelson Piquet.

Knight’s passenger palletized system will be used for various types of operations including extended flights by FAB and VIP delegations. It loads quickly and easily into cargo aircraft through a roll-on/roll-off design, saving valuable time.
