August 24, 2021 – San Antonio, Texas – It is with extremely heavy hearts that we announce the death of our founder and dear friend, Al Knight. Al started Knight Aerospace almost thirty years ago with a vision of consistently providing unparalleled products for the aerospace industry. His strong, professional alliances with our partners, such as Lockheed Martin, were based on quality, trust, and a deep commitment to maintaining the best reputation in the world.

In 2017, Al successfully transitioned the company to a team he was very proud of, including his son, Rick, Executive Vice President of International Sales, and grandson, Michael, Senior Vice President of International Sales. Rick and Michael have spent their entire careers at Knight and continue Al’s legacy, providing world-class, innovative products which transform the mission of our client’s aircraft, enabling the safe and comfortable transportation of passengers, medical crew, and patients throughout the world.

“Today, our Knight family lost a great friend and advisor,” states Bianca Rhodes, President and CEO of Knight Aerospace. “Words cannot express our sense of loss for this great man. Al Knight was a true inspiration to our employees, partners, and customers. We will endeavor to continue Al’s vision and deliver on his commitment to high quality, total safety, and great technology. Our most fervent prayers go out to Rick, Michael, and the entire Knight family.”
