MICHAEL KNIGHT

Senior Vice President International Sales

As Senior Vice President of International Sales, Michael Knight provides leadership and coordination of company sales and marketing functions for Knight Aerospace. He is responsible for developing our strategic sales and marketing plans based on company goals to promote sales growth and customer satisfaction.

Michael graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) in 2009 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in management with an international business concentration. In 2005, while attending UTSA, Michael joined his father and grandfather at Knight Aerospace Products, Inc (KAPI) as a Production Controller. KAPI operated as a family-owned small business concentrating on roll-on/roll-off modular and palletized interiors and aircraft ground support equipment for the C-130, C-17, C-27J, CN-235, and C-295 aircraft.

After graduation, Michael increased his roles at the company, performing jobs in the Planning and Program Management departments. After completing multiple successful programs, including a VVIP Modular System for the C-130J, Michael moved into a sales position working under the then Vice President. During this time, he formed strong relationships with customers around the world and at major OEMs, including Lockheed Martin, Boeing, Airbus, and Leonardo, focusing his attention on quality, manufacturing, and sales. KAPI was recognized as the premier provider of customized products in its industry.

In 2014, Michael took on the role of Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Knight Aerospace Medical Systems. Today, he is one of the top sales performers, securing various new customers, continuing business with previous customers. One of his top achievements is the successful launch of our Aeromedical Bio-containment Module (ABCM), a specialized type of Aeromedical Bio-Containment Evacuation System (ABES). This “flying emergency room” is quickly and easily loaded onto most cargo aircraft, including the C-130, C-17, A400M, C-2, and C-5.

Michael’s overarching goals for 2021 include further increasing our footprint around the world and successfully launching the next great Knight Aerospace product, the Next Generation Air Transportable Galley Lavatory (ATGL) for military aircraft. In his free time, Michael enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, and traveling.
