Our Pandemic Response to COVID-19

A Letter from our President and CEO, Bianca Rhodes

The past year has been unprecedented for our industry. Knight Aerospace has closely monitored the risks and events resulting from the COVID-19 global health crisis, as well as the need for pandemic rapid response throughout the aerospace industry. We have adapted and done so quickly.

It has been heartening to see the resilience and fortitude shown by so many. During a time of unprecedented disruption and change, we have seen neighbors helping neighbors and communities coming together in the best of ways.

Our leadership has focused on the health and safety of our employees, as well as customers and suppliers. We continue to follow the guidelines from the U.S. Centers for Disease (CDC) and the World Health Organization for safer business practices. To that end, we minimize travel while focusing on meeting customer needs. Video conferencing is the new normal. We also strive to prevent product delays, communicating clearly with our supply chain to manage any potential operational situations that could impact delivery.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, there has been an increase in military infectious disease transport and the need for a quick-change military medical module to safely transport patients. A better Aeromedical Bio-Containment Evacuation System (ABES) was needed. We launched our Aeromedical Bio-Containment Module (ABCM) in response, which had been in research and development before the pandemic. We see this as a way of serving first responders during this global health crisis and serving a pressing need.

Finally, we extend a big thank you to all of our employees, customers, and suppliers for your encouragement and flexibility. We stand ready and committed to supporting you. Please reach out and let us know how we can best do that.

Sincerely,
